Module: Experiential Store Concepts
This Interior Design module will introduce students to the principles of interior design and then go on to explore how these principles apply to fashion stores.
Shopping is also now a leisure activity with with value added features that provide entertainment for the consumer and to create interest and excitement around the fashion brands. We’ll look concept stores and the increasing use of retail outlets as exhibition spaces.
We’ll also cover the communication of brand identity within store-based environments and the use of flagship stores to reinforce brand values and strategic marketing objectives.
Key aspects of consumer behaviour will also be explored in relation to store design and layout. We’ll also look at how online retailing has impacted stores and customer behaviours.
The module will use presentations of retail concepts using industry-standard 3D visualisation software.
