BA (Hons) Media Production

If you want a career in the media industry, this hands-on Media Production degree will give you practical skills and theoretical understandings of radio, video and new media. You will begin by studying all areas of the media, gaining practical skills that are reinforced by an understanding of theory and context. In the final year, you can specialise in the area that interests you most to generate a portfolio of creative work that you can use to impress potential employers when you graduate.

What you will study

The first year includes practical production modules focused on concept development and an introduction to script-writing, video, audio / sound design and interactive design and construction, balanced with a theory module to help develop your understanding of the industry. The focus of the first year is to explore and develop your creativity and identify your chosen area of interest within the industry.
