BA (Hons) Sports Leadership and Development

Sport has the power to inspire people and change lives. But to inspire the next generation, we need the right people leading and developing sport. By giving you the right leadership skills and sports development knowledge, this Sports Leadership and Development degree will prepare you for working in the sports development and management industry.

Increasingly, social enterprises and private companies are contributing to the delivery of sport. Therefore, the BA (Hons) Sports Leadership and Development course will help you explore how you can be more entrepreneurial in your thinking around the development of sport. We work with the Young Ambassadors programme and Sports Leaders UK to provide you with the next crucial step in the development of your sports leadership and employability.

What you will study

You will gain an understanding of the varied, dynamic and constantly changing nature of sports development, from grass roots community projects that engage people to take up sport, to working with elite athletes who are at the top of their game.
