BA (Hons) Sports Leadership and Development

Sport has the power to inspire people and change lives. But to inspire the next generation, we need the right people leading and developing sport. By giving you the right leadership skills and sports development knowledge, this Sports Leadership and Development degree will prepare you for working in the sports development and management industry.

Increasingly, alternative models of sports development are growing increasingly, which include social enterprises and private companies who are contributing to the delivery of sport. Our Sports Leadership and Development course will therefore help you to understand the business and management of sport, and will explore how you can be more entrepreneurial in your thinking around the development of sport.

The University works in partnership with CIMSPA (Chartered Institute of Management for Physical Activity and Sport) to ensure that this sport course prepares students with the relevant skills and knowledge to work in sport. We also work closely with the Young Ambassadors programme and Sports Leaders UK to ensure that this degree provides the next crucial step in the development of your sports leadership and employability development.
