Computer science is the study of theoretical foundations and practical techniques for implementation in computer systems. Despite its short history, computer science has made major contributions to science and society that have transformed the way we live our lives. There are many sub-fields of computer science and the MSc Computer Science course provides an opportunity to study a range of these to an advanced level, with a particular emphasis on application development,network security and artificial intelligence. You will be taught by an internationally recognised team, drawn from the University’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Paradigms research unit (CSAIP) and the Information Security Research Group.
