BSc (Hons) Secondary Mathematics with ICT with QTS

Have you always wanted to teach but don’t have a degree? Are you enthusiastic about mathematics and ICT and want to share your enthusiasm with others? This secondary teacher training course enables you to be fully qualified to teach in two years.

This Initial Teacher Education degree, which is unique in Wales, is an integrated university and secondary school-based programme, with a focus on development of subject knowledge and the practical skills required to become an effective and innovative teacher. With a shortage of secondary school teachers in Mathematics and ICT, our graduates can expect good job prospects and rapid career progression. Schools need enthusiastic teachers who have a subject specialism but who can also teach in other disciplines and, in offering training in two subjects, employment prospects are excellent. Other pathways are: Mathematics with Science; Science with Mathematics; Science with ICT; Design and Technology.
